Church Programs

Currently at Oak Glen URC we offer many different types of programs that may serve useful to any part of your spiritual walk in life.

 

Sunday School

Sunday School meets every Sunday after the Morning Worship Service. It is designed so that kids may be able to interact with the Bible and what it teaches us.

 

Catechism

Catechism meets every Sunday after the Morning Worship Service. It is designed for children in grades 5-12. The teachings of the Heildelburg Catechism are taught each week and select memorization takes place.

 

Adult Bible Study

Adult Bible Study meets every Sunday after the Morning Worship Service. It is for any persons that have graduated High School and would like to have a deep theological Bible Study after the Morning Service.

 

Young People's

Young People's is the teenage youth group. They meet every 3rd week and discuss many different topics that our young teens face on a day by day basis. Every 3rd week a famly volunteers their house to house the meeting for that night.

 

Cadets

Cadets meets every-other Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. They hold a Bible study and then do a wide variety of crafts ranging from a pinewood derby car to a workboot shoe cleaner. Cadets is open to any boy ages of 5th through 8th grade.

 

G.E.M.S.

Gems (Girls Everywhere Meeting our Savior) meets every-other Monday at 7:00 p.m. They hold a Bible study and also do a wide variety of crafts. Gems is open to any girl ages of 5th through 8th grade.

 

Heart to Heart

The primary purpose of Heart to Heart is Bible Study that meets most every Wednesday at 10:00-11:30am. To this end our study materials are Scripture-based, support the doctrines of the Oak Glen United Reformed Church, and the study must encourage us to exercise the means of grace- prayer, Bible Study, worship, fellowship, and service. Also, our purpose is to minister to each other in Christian friendship and fellowship.

 

Little Lambs

Little Lambs provide a Christian pre-school experience for the children of the moms of the Heart to Heart Bible Study. This program incorporates Bible Stories, crafts, singing and structured play activities.

 

Dorcas

Ladies at Dorcas study the Bible meet ever 1st & 3rd Wednesday at 7:00pm, have discussion time on lesson material, have fellowship with one another, and have refreshments. Women of all ages are welcome to attend.
